Napier Viewing Platform

The 67-metre structure extends into the ocean from the beachfront along Marine Parade in Napier and is one of the most photographed locations in Hawke’s Bay.

Designed to transform a simple stormwater outfall into an architectural tourist attraction, the platform pushed the Red Steel team to its limits both with the sheer size of the architecturally-designed steel canopy and its installation in heavy shingle and crashing waves.
